Juicin'

(The only juice I need are PEDs! Kidding, this looks like a good idea. Do they make juicing attachments for KitchenAid mixers?)

We took the plunge and juiced tonight.  Our recipe was called "Mean Green."  It consisted of two apples, four celery stalks, half a lemon, eight kale leaves, a cucumber, and a little ginger for each of us.  Sarah wasn't too impressed, but I kind of liked it.  We each got about 20 ounces of juice.

Whiskey Dick Ride

(Nice to see them riding a motorcycle carcass. If Optimus Prime saw that, he'd be horrified.)

Had a great time this year.  It was a pleasure to have Jamie join us, although we didn't see much of him because he was off like a rocket!

No injuries to report.  Roger DID NOT FALL!  That is a first.

A little windy and cool at 9 AM, but it warmed up by the afternoon.

All Balls

(I won't put stickers on my car or computer, but if I did...I can't say I'd put an All Balls one on there. Hope it helps these guys not fall down so much.)

I know Dad isn't too big on stickers on his bike, but he did mention last year that he thought that he needed some.  The company that makes our wheel bearings, swingarm bushings, and tapered steering bearings is All Balls Racing.  The name "All Balls" is fitting because their bearings are made with ball bearings...get it...all balls.

Anyways their slogan is, "It takes All Balls to be this good."  I thought that was fitting for Dad.

It actually looks pretty cool too.

Eagle Eye

(There are shows for hoarders, auctioning off storage bins and one about ice-road truckers, but what about one chronicling the shit my brother finds just off the road? He could open an Etsy store by now.)

Well, my eagle eye did it again.  Sarah and I took the back way home (dirt roads) from Wenatchee and I spotted this puppy with my well trained eye.

Its a triangle stand for a motorcycle and it looks homemade.

This is one thing I don't need, but I am still grateful that I found it.

Any bidders?

Saying goodbye to an old friend

(Our old running shoes graduate to lawn-mowing shoes. I still have a pair in my parent's garage, but they are in no way as beat up as these are. Can't imagine these are comfy to wear.)

I've had this pair of Adidas for 12 wonderful years.  Thats right, I bought these when I was 18 years old.  They have been a great pair of shoes.  I bought them to look cool, then found out they were great running/walking shoes so I wore them for sports.  They were then used for lawn mowing.  I hated to see them sitting on the shelf, so I cleaned them up and used them again for sports.  They have successfully gotten me through two sessions of P90X.

But they are worn.  They have no tread, the toe part is separating from the body of the shoe, they have no lateral support, and they have a big hole in them.

I hated to throw them away, but it was time.  Sarah and I went to the Nike outlet and I found a new pair of Nikes.  I never thought I'd buy another pair of Nikes, but they are comfy and were on sale.

So, please keep these Adidas in your prayers as they will be sitting in the morgue (garbage can) until next Friday when the big green hearse (garbage truck) takes them to their final resting place.
